Jurinji Temple

HOME > Sightseeing Spot > Jurinji Temple

It has been told that it was built by Kobo Daishi in 833. Though once, there had been a GARANDOU (Buddhist temple) where more than 76 were trained, it was ruined by a disturbance during the war age. Currently a KANNONDO is standing quietly in a grove. Maple trees in the grounds are famous and a seven-storied pagoda made of stone in a graveyard near the front approach is the oldest wooden work in the city. And it is appointed cultural property by the city. Jurinji Temple
