A sake brewer, Mr. Etsuzo Tatsuuma, who had studied Archeology especially about copper-bell and jewelry, established the center in 1976. Collections are included mostly the works of Tessai Tomioka, and more than 40 of national appointed Important Cultural Properties and Important Works of Art are stored.
